What did it feel like when we learned our child has SLC6A1?
We were overwhelmed with sadness and instantly hit with the gravity and complexity of the disease.

The hardest part of being a SLC6A1 family?
The hardest part for us has been the uncertainty around our daughter’s future.

What are your dreams for Madeline?
We want Madeline to be comfortable in her own skin and be able to contribute wonderful things to the community around her.

Why would you like people to donate to SLC6A1 Connect?
We strongly feel that SLC6A1 research is transferable to countless other neurological disorders. Such information and advancements will provide countless life-changing applications for conditions beyond SLC6A1.
